Provide experiences

We can only choose between things we know about.

Imagine being asked whether you'd prefer two foods you've never tasted, two activities you've never experienced or two places you've never visited.

People need opportunities to explore, try things and develop new interests.

If someone always chooses the same activity, consider whether this is genuinely their preference or whether they have had enough opportunities to discover alternatives.

Supporting choice can mean expanding someone's world, not simply repeatedly offering the same options.
